About SIG KM 
(Fachgruppe Wissensmanagement)

The Special Interest Group on Knowledge Management is part of the German Society for Computer Science (GI). SIG KM addresses computer science methods for capturing, development, utilization, and maintenance of knowledge for organizations and networks of people. The focus is on scientific foundations and practical applications.

The current SIG KM was newly aligned in 2001 through a merge of  the former SIGs on Knowledge Management and Case-Based Reasoning. SIG KM is currently part of GI's departments on Artificial Intelligence and Business Informatics.  A more detailed description of SIG KM (in German language) is available.
